About Sudan
Sudan is the biggest country in Africa it has suffered two Civil Wars the first happened from 1955 to 1972 and the second from 1983 and still going on today. The reason this one country stood out to me is in class we have been reading a book "Along Way Gone" and in the book there are child soldiers so just thinking about the war that is still going on makes me think about the child soldiers that are fighting for all the wrong reasons. What going on now in Sudan is that a vote had just been cast to see if the north and the south of Sudan will become independent countries and the vote was final and now they are.
The children as soldiers
After reading the book" Along Way Gone" we learned about children being used for soldiers so what do I think about child soldiers well children should not have to be forced or tricked into becoming one is just wrong some of the methods they used to get them to join would be mind tricking so the child would be fighting for the wrong reasons. Some of the consequences of the children soldiers are death , mental breakdowns when they get older and that is why children should not be soldiers.

Quotes
"A child is born with no state of mind
Blind to the ways of mankind"- Grand Master Flash:The Message
This quote is not really related to the main character But it is more or less related to all the kids who get raised up not knowing that what is going on in the book we are reading "Along Way Gone" that this is actually happening every day villages getting taken over, people killed, whole villages in poverty, we have hid this from them but if we were to tell them at a younger age they might just help to do something about join together and change the world little by little.
"I can't walk through the park, cause it's crazy after dark"- Grand Master Flash:The Message
This relates not only to the main character in the book but to the whole village and how they can't go any where without the fear of being captured or killed or something worse.

Music
I think that next year we should incorperate a little music in lessons cause everyone likes listing to music not to mention the lyrics are poetic in a sort of way so instead of us just reading a poem let us listen to a piece of music that has the same message I also think we will pay more attention to a song than just a normal poem. That my opinion
